3. Care and Responsibility:
• While we take every possible care of each boarded animal, we cannot be held responsible for any loss due to illness or other causes.

Kennel Policies:
- Required Paperwork: Please ensure that you complete the necessary paperwork (Links above) before bringing your dog to our kennels. This includes the Boarding contract, which must be signed every time.
- Vaccination Check: We will check your dog’s vaccination card upon arrival. Only fully vaccinated dogs will be accepted for boarding. Please ensure you bring a current vaccination certificate when booking in, as we will not be able to accept dogs without it.
- Kennel Cough Vaccine: We cannot accept any dog who has had a vaccination, especially the Kennel Cough Vaccine, within 14 days of arrival date. If you have doubts, please call us before visiting your vets. While we do not insist on the Kennel Cough vaccine, we strongly recommend it. However, if your dog is coughing on the day, you bring them in for boarding and we suspect Kennel Cough, we will not be able to accommodate their stay. Please note that even with the vaccine, dogs can still contract Kennel Cough.
- Essential Vaccinations: Dogs must be vaccinated against Parvo Virus, Leptospirosis, Hepatitis, and Distemper.
- It is important that your pet’s vaccines are up to date. We are required to check the vaccination card on every visit. Most vets can send the records electronically if needed.
- Worming, Flea Treatment, and Microchip Details: In accordance with DEFRA guidelines, we will ask for details of your dog’s last worming and flea treatment. It is not a requirement for them to be up to date, but we do need the information. Additionally, please provide your dog’s microchip number, insurance details, and an emergency contact person (name, number, address, and email address).
- Medications and Health Issues: We are happy to administer medications to dogs, but we recommend discussing any health issues with your vet prior to boarding. Being in kennels can have an impact on certain medical conditions, such as diabetes, liver or kidney problems, and epilepsy, which may affect medication requirements.
- Acceptance of All Dog Breeds: We accept any breed of dog for boarding and charge the same rate for all breeds.
- Special Consideration for Greyhounds: If you have a greyhound, please mention it when making a booking. We have a dedicated block for boarding Greyhounds as they may be less accustomed to seeing other breeds.
- Compatibility of Sharing Dogs: Dogs that are boarding together must get along. We reserve the right to separate them if they show aggression towards each other. In such cases, we may need to kennel them separately at an additional cost.
- Essential Vaccinations: Dogs must be vaccinated against Parvo Virus, Leptospirosis, Hepatitis, and Distemper.
- Dog Health Requirements: We do not accept dogs that are ill (e.g., coughing) or have been boarded elsewhere in the past two weeks due to the risk of infection.
- Health Monitoring and Veterinary Care: We carefully monitor the health of your dog during their stay. In case of any concerns, we have an on-call vet, Clent Hills, who provides 24/7 cover and advice. Any veterinary costs incurred will be added to your bill unless we are at fault.
- Deposits and Cancellations: We require non-refundable deposits for all bookings. If you provide us with more than 4 weeks’ notice of cancellation and we can fill your booking, we may be able to transfer your deposit for future use. If you cancel within four weeks you will lose your deposit.
- Authorised Collection: If someone else will be collecting your dog, please provide them with a letter of authorisation or a password to release your dog to them. Please settle the bill when dropping off your dog.
- Bedding and Toys: We provide clean fleece bedding for your dog, which we wash regularly. We can accept personal bedding, but you are unlikely to get this back due to the high volume of washing. We do our best to return your dog’s toys but cannot guarantee their safekeeping.
- Dogs on Leads: For safety reasons, all dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, regardless of how well-behaved they are. If you forget your lead, we can provide one for you to borrow.
- Payment Options: Fees are due upon collection of your dog. We accept payment in cash or debit card. We do not accept cheques or credit cards. Debit card transactions do not incur any additional charges.
- Cross-Over Days and Holding Kennels: During busy times, on cross-over days, we may place your dog in a holding kennel until collection. These kennels are as comfortable as our regular kennels and allow us to maintain our stringent cleaning and disinfecting processes.
